About Pawtel

A Hotel That Happens To Be For Animals

We started with four kennels behind a vet's surgery in 2009. Fifteen years later we have six suite types and twenty-four trained carers, and the same rule still holds: nobody stays anywhere we would not leave our own pets.

Staffed Overnight

A carer sleeps on site and walks every suite on a two-hour round.

Their Own Food

Bring their usual bowls and diet. We weigh, portion and log every meal.

Vet Five Minutes Away

Vaccination checks on arrival and a partner practice on speed dial.

Daily Photo Updates

Walks, meals, naps and mischief land in the owner portal as they happen.

Somebody Is Awake All Night

A carer sleeps on site and walks every suite every two hours. Nobody is left alone in a dark building from seven at night until seven in the morning.

01

One Carer For Every Four Guests

Play groups are matched by size and temperament, never by whoever happens to be in that day, and unfamiliar dogs are never mixed.

02

A Vet Five Minutes Away

Vaccination records are checked on arrival, medication is logged and counter-signed, and our partner practice is a four-minute drive.

Five Places They Will Actually Use

Not a list of rooms on a floor plan. These are the five your pet ends up in every single day.

The Splash Pool

A shallow, heated pool with a wide ramp in. Ten minutes of paddling does more for a restless dog than an hour of pacing.

  • Non-Slip Ramp In No jumping required
  • Towel Dry After Nobody goes back damp

What People Say When They Get Home

Two weeks away and I got a photo every single day. Bruno came home tired, clean and completely unbothered, which after his last boarding experience is all I wanted.

I was told cats do not board well. Mine spent four nights in the quiet wing and came back fine. Being in a separate building from the dogs is the whole difference.

Tom Beckley

Our old boy is on three tablets a day. They logged every dose, timed and initialled, and emailed the sheet at the end. No other kennel has ever done that without being asked.

We visited three places before booking. Pawtel was the only one that let us walk in unannounced on a Tuesday and see the actual runs rather than a tidied-up show kennel.
