FAQ

The questions buyers ask before and just after they install.

Before you install

What do I need to run this?

PHP 8.2 or later, MySQL or MariaDB, and a normal web host. No Node, no queue server, no separate search engine — see System requirements.

Do I need a Stripe or PayPal account before installing?

No. Install first and add payment later. Nothing is created in any gateway dashboard by hand — the product publishes what it needs when it needs it.

Can I run this for my own restaurants rather than a marketplace?

Yes. That is a business model you choose at setup, and it removes the screens that do not apply — plans, partner signup, payouts. See Choosing a business model.

Is there a mobile app?

The storefront, the dashboards and the driver app are web apps that work on a phone. Riders and staff add them to the home screen. There is nothing to submit to an app store.

What languages does it support?

English, Spanish and Arabic ship with it, including right-to-left layout. You can add your own — see Languages.

Money

How do I make money from this?

Three ways, and you can use any combination: commission on orders, subscription plans sold to restaurants, and sponsored placements. See Platform earnings.

Is there a platform fee on what I earn?

No. What your platform earns is yours. Your gateway takes its own fees, as gateways do.

How do restaurants get paid?

Either you disburse to them from what you collected, or payments split at the gateway. See Payouts.

Can I charge different commission per restaurant?

Yes. Commission comes from the plan a restaurant is on, and you can also set it per restaurant. Orders already placed keep the rate stored on them, so changing it never rewrites history.

Setting up

How long until I can take a first order?

Under an hour of actual work — see Your first hour. Four required steps stand between a restaurant and trading.

Do I have to configure the scheduler?

Yes. One cron entry. Without it no email is delivered, subscriptions never end, payouts are never sent and nothing scheduled happens. It is not optional — see Scheduled tasks.

Can I import an existing menu?

Yes — pasted text, a photograph, a PDF, a web page, Google Business, or a CSV. Everything goes through a review step before it touches the menu. See Import menu.

Can I remove the demo data?

Yes, and you should before judging any report. See Maintenance mode & backups.

Running it

Can one owner run several restaurants?

Yes — see Branches. Each branch is a restaurant with its own menu, staff, plan and payouts.

Can customers order without an account?

Yes, if you allow it. Guests convert better but earn no loyalty and cannot be contacted again — see Ordering.

Does it work offline?

Tills and kiosks can hold orders through an outage if you switch it on. Card payments still cannot be authorised without a connection — see Working offline.

Can I edit a customer's review?

You can hide it, and only for a rule you can state — abuse, personal data, spam, the wrong restaurant. A platform that removes honest criticism has ratings worth nothing. See Reviews.

Do I need the AI features?

No. Everything works without them; menu import has other methods and the assistant is a convenience. See AI settings.

Changing things

Can I change the colours and the logo?

Yes, without touching code — see Branding.

Can I edit the wording of built-in pages?

Yes, section by section and per language, with Restore original wording as the way back. See Pages.

Will my changes survive an update?

Everything set in the dashboard does — it is in the database. Edits to PHP or CSS files do not: keep a record of them, or make them in a way you can reapply. See Updating to a new version.

Can I use my own domain and email address?

Yes, and you should. Send from a domain you control — see Email & templates.

If your question is "why is nothing happening", check the scheduler. It answers more questions than any other single thing in this guide — see Troubleshooting.
