Questions & Answers
What drivers ask us most, from MOT dates to tyre sizes.
Servicing
An interim service every six months or 6,000 miles and a full service every year or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. A major service every two years adds the plugs, fuel and cabin filters.
Yes. We use parts to the maker's specification, follow its schedule and stamp the service book, so the manufacturer's warranty stands.
A larger engine takes more oil and bigger filters, and the work takes longer. Pick your size on any page and every price follows it.
MOT
Up to a month, less a day, before the expiry date, and you keep the same renewal date. Our MOT page works both dates out from your last test.
We tell you why, quote for the repair, and the retest is free if the car stays with us or comes back within ten working days.
By the third anniversary of its first registration. After that, every year.
Tyres
On the sidewall: 205/55 R16 91V is 205 mm wide, a sidewall 55% of that, for a 16-inch rim, with a load index of 91 and a speed rating of V.
Below about 7°C a summer compound hardens. Winter tyres grip in the cold; all-season tyres are one set for the whole year with a little less of each.
Fitting, balancing, a new rubber valve and recycling the old tyre. TPMS sensors are extra when the car has them.
Bookings & Payment
For most services and tyres, yes: the lounge has coffee and wi-fi. For longer jobs, a courtesy car can be booked free.
No. You get a written estimate first, and we ring before anything is added. You pay when the car is ready.
Cards, bank transfer and, for fleet accounts, monthly invoices.
