Buying One Of One
Yes. We buy and consign single pieces, so there is only ever one of each. When it sells, it drops off the rail for good.
Because there is only one, we hold a piece for you for 20 minutes once it is in your bag, so nobody can buy it from under you while you check out. If the hold runs out you can hold it again, as long as nobody else has.
A+ is deadstock, never worn; A is excellent, worn lightly with no flaws; B is very good with one small flaw written on the tag; C is good, with visible wear or a repair that is priced in. Every flaw is photographed.
Every piece is measured flat by hand. Our Size Guide matches your bust and waist to the pieces on the rail, and the workroom can hem or take in a piece before it ships.
Consigning With Us
A piece's resale price comes from its category, its label tier, its grade and its age; you keep 40% to 70% of the sale depending on the label tier, or a fifth more as store credit. The estimator does the sum.
90 days. If a piece has not sold by day 45 it is marked down 20%; after that you can collect it or let us pass it to our charity partner.
14 days after the piece sells, by bank transfer, or straight away as store credit.
Anything that would sell under £20, fast fashion from the last few years, pieces with smells, stains we cannot shift or damage we cannot mend.
Alterations & Repairs
Yes, the workroom takes anything you bring in, vintage or not.
Each job lists its working days; several jobs on one piece add a day each, and express halves the time for half as much again. The workroom is shut on Sundays and Mondays.
Yes: choose a fit option on the product page and it leaves us once the workroom has finished it.
Delivery & Returns
UK orders over £80 ship free; under that standard shipping is £4.95 and express £7.95. Europe from £14.00, the rest of the world from £22.00.
Online orders can be returned within 14 days in the condition they arrived, unless they were altered for you.
