01What Time Are The Sunday Services?

There are three services every Sunday: 8:00 AM, 10:30 AM (Family Worship, with kids' rooms) and 6:00 PM Evening Prayer in the chapel. A Bible study meets on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM and Youth Night is on Fridays at 7:30 PM.

02What Should I Wear To Church?

Come as you are. Some people dress up for Sunday and some come in jeans; you will be welcome either way.

03Is There Parking Near The Church?

Yes. The church car park opens half an hour before each service, and there is free street parking on Poor Street on Sundays.

04What Happens To My Children During The Service?

During Family Worship children go to rooms for their age: the Nursery (0 - 3), Little Lights (4 - 7) and Kids Club (8 - 11). Young people from 12 stay with you in the service.

05Are Your Volunteers Checked And Trained?

Every volunteer who works with children has a background check, safeguarding training and at least two leaders in each room.

06How Can I Give To The Church?

You can give online in a minute, once or every month, choose a cause or the general fund, and cover the card fee so the church receives all of your gift.

07Will I Receive A Receipt For My Gift?

Yes. A receipt is emailed for every gift, and a statement of the year's giving is sent each January.

08How Do I Arrange A Baptism?

Talk to one of the pastors after a service or send us a message. Baptisms are held on the first Sunday of each month after a short class.

09Can We Marry At Altara Church?

Yes. Contact the church office at least six months ahead; a pastor will meet you to plan the service and the preparation sessions.

10How Do I Become A Member?

Join the four-week Welcome Class, held each season after Family Worship, then meet a pastor to share your story.

11Where Can I Find A Small Group?

The Find Your Ministry page lists every group by age and meeting day, or ask at the welcome desk on Sunday.

12Can I Volunteer Without Being A Member?

Yes. Many ministries welcome anyone who would like to help; the team leader will show you where to start.
