Answers

How long is a first visit?

About an hour: a short form, an exam, digital x-rays and a cleaning. You leave with a written plan and the prices.

Can I book an evening or a Saturday?

Yes. The clinic is open until 8 PM Monday to Friday and from 9 AM to 6 PM on Saturdays.

What if I am nervous about the dentist?

Tell us when you book. We explain every step before it starts, agree a stop signal and can offer numbing gel first.

Do you show prices before treatment?

Always. Every treatment has its price on the Pricing page, and your plan lists each cost before anything starts.

Can I spread the cost?

Yes. Payment plans run over 6 or 12 months interest-free, or 18 and 24 months at a fixed APR.

Which insurance plans do you accept?

Most PPO plans. Use the coverage estimator to see what a basic, standard or premium plan would pay.

What if I have no insurance?

The membership plan covers two checkups, the yearly x-rays and one emergency exam, and takes 15% off treatment.

When should my child first see a dentist?

By their first birthday, or within six months of the first tooth. Early visits are short and playful.

Do you see teenagers for braces?

Yes. Dr. Helena Zerman fits braces and clear aligners for children, teens and adults.

What counts as a dental emergency?

Severe toothache, a knocked-out or broken tooth, swelling, or bleeding that will not stop. Call (212) 555-0199.

Can I be seen the same day?

We keep time free every day for emergencies, so most patients are seen within hours.

What should I do with a knocked-out tooth?

Hold it by the crown, rinse it gently, keep it in milk and come straight in: the first hour matters most.
