What Happens, Step By Step
- 01Plan & 3D Scan
A cone-beam scan shows the bone, so the implant's place is planned to the millimetre.
- 02Placing The Root
Under local anesthetic the titanium root goes in; most patients are back at work the next day.
- 03Healing
Three to six months while the bone grows around the root, with a temporary tooth meanwhile.
- 04The Crown
A ceramic crown matched to your shade is fitted. It is cleaned like any other tooth.

Questions Patients Ask
Does getting an implant hurt?
The area is numbed, so you feel pressure rather than pain. Most patients take an ordinary painkiller for a day or two.
How long does an implant last?
The root can last a lifetime with good care; the crown usually lasts fifteen years or more.
Can I spread the cost?
Yes: six or twelve months interest-free, or eighteen and twenty-four months at a fixed APR. See Insurance & Financing.
