Submissions Open · 3 Calls
Every series sent to an open call is read by three editors, and the best of them are printed on paper, eight pages at a time.
How It Works
Four steps and about five weeks. Nothing is final until you press Submit, and nothing is printed without your say.
Each call names its theme, its judges, its deadline and how many frames a series may hold.
Four to twenty frames in the order you would print them, a title and a few lines about the work.
Every series is seen by three editors; a shortlist goes on the table, and a note comes back to everyone.
Eight pages in the issue, ten copies posted to you and the prints on our wall at the launch night.

Every Call
Open
Street lamps, shop windows, headlights and the glow of a phone: the city after dark, lit by itself.
Closing Soon
Platforms, buses, bikes and feet: the hour between home and work, anywhere in the world.
Open
A first long project, finished or not, from a photographer under thirty. No fee to enter.
Judging
Portraits of people met once, made with their permission and their name.
Entry Fees
Fees pay the editors' time and the print run. The rules are the same on every call.
From The Open Calls
Second Saturday Of The Month
Twenty minutes with an editor and one series on the table, before you send it anywhere. €25 a seat.
The Letter
Before You Send
Rights, permissions, fees and who reads the work.
Every QuestionPick an open call and press Submit Your Work: five steps take the call, your series, a few words about you and the entry fee. Nothing is sent until you press Submit.
Each call sets its own limit, from 6 to 20 frames a series. Send the sequence you would print, not your best single frames.
Most calls cost €12 a series. A subscriber's first series is free, students pay 50% less, and from the 4th series on each one costs €8.
Every series is seen by three editors. The judges are named on each call's page, with the date the results come out.
