Mostly by your shoe size: UK 6-7 on a 7.75, 7.5-9 on an 8.0, 9.5-10.5 on an 8.25, 11 and up on an 8.5. The Size Guide does it for you.
On wheels of 56 mm and bigger, so they never touch the deck on a turn. The builder adds them and longer bolts.
Assembly is £5, and free when the parts come to £150 or more.
