Questions About The Garden
Yes. Every field, the orchard and the herd have been certified organic since 1996; nothing is sprayed and no artificial fertiliser is used.
No-dig beds, green manures, a four-year rotation and compost from our own herd: the soil's organic matter has doubled since we began measuring.
On the river pasture from April to November, and on our own hay in winter. The herd is grass-fed and never given growth hormones.
