Sailing The Islands

A half-day crossing on the house ketch — fourteen metres, built in 1974, restored on the headland over two winters.

The house ketch under sail past the headland

She is a fourteen-metre ketch built in La Ciotat in 1974 and bought off a mooring in Toulon in 2016 with a hole in her. Two winters of work later she goes out most mornings between April and October, and she is the reason a good half of our guests come back.

The crossing is not a tour. There is no commentary, no itinerary board, and if the wind turns we go somewhere else. Six guests maximum, two crew, and a cool box from the kitchen.

Two Things Worth Knowing

The lighthouse anchorage at mid-morning
Lunch laid out in the cockpit

The mistral cancels roughly one morning in nine between November and March, and we will tell you the evening before rather than at the jetty. If it goes, so does the charge.
